All Women Matter

In an era where human rights are at the forefront of our collective conscience, the silence over the devastating loss of women’s lives in Gaza presents a glaring contradiction. While global and national campaigns vigorously denounce domestic violence and advocate for the protection of women, the same intensity and commitment has faltered when addressing the tragedy unfolding in Gaza.

Two Mothers Every “HOUR”

One is too high

The staggering figure of over 150,000 women killed is not just a statistic; it represents individual lives, each with dreams, families, and communities shattered. This loss is a humanitarian crisis that demands a global outcry. Yet, the response from many international leaders and influencers has been markedly subdued or non-existent. This disparity in advocacy and action raises critical questions about the universality of the rights and protections we claim to support.

Selective Outrage

There is a troubling inconsistency in the advocacy for women’s rights when those voices that are loud against domestic violence remain silent on the killing of women in Gaza. This selective outrage suggests a bias in which women are deemed worthy of rights and protection based on their geographic or political context. Such a stance undermines the global struggle for women’s rights, suggesting that some women’s lives are less valuable.

  • Selective Outrage
  • Selective Empathy
  • Selective Representation

Israeli Defence Force

The Most “Moral” Army on Earth

They humiliate women as they go through their things after they have killed them. Human barbarity knows no bounds. The Prime Minister of Australia continues to provide military aid to Israel. These actions were never condemned and they persist on mass scale.

Political Hypocrisy

Think Votes

Politicians like Australia’s Prime Minister who are vocal about ending domestic violence yet silent on the atrocities in Gaza—display a concerning level of hypocrisy. This not only questions the sincerity of their commitment to women’s rights but also exposes the influence of political agendas over human rights principles. The selective condemnation based on political convenience or strategic interests highlights a lack of genuine leadership and integrity in addressing human rights universally.

We Must Act

The local and international community, including governments, NGOs, and international bodies, has a responsibility to address and prevent atrocities against women globally. This responsibility entails not only advocacy and condemnation but also proactive measures to protect women in where ever they are. International laws and conventions are in place to protect civilians, including women, in times of war. The failure to enforce these laws or to hold perpetrators accountable highlights a significant failing of local and international governance.

The silence on the killing of women in Gaza is a stark reminder of the hypocrisy across the globe and the lack of justice for women worldwide. It calls for a reevaluation of global priorities and a renewed commitment to human rights that transcends borders and politics. If we are to advocate for the end of violence against women in one part of the world, we must be consistent and vocal for women everywhere, regardless of the geopolitical implications involved.
