No, we are a united collective. Our principal aims are to educate and mobilise at the grassroots.
We are guided by the ethical and moral framework of Islam. Our values and principles are not just abstract concepts but are integral to who we are and how we live our lives. We do not shy away from our faith; instead, we draw strength from it. Our faith guides us to act with integrity, justice, and compassion and drives our efforts to create a more equitable society. We are committed to upholding these values in every aspect of our civic engagement.
Many Australian politicians have used their faith (or preferred secular ideology) as a framework to inform policies while actively participating in politics. Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and politicians across the political spectrum have consistently drawn upon Christian values to guide their decisions. There is no inherent conflict in allowing faith-based values to inform political engagement. Politics is inevitably informed by people’s religious or secular worldviews.
We are ambitious but realistic. The year 2024 is the first time the Muslim community is organising – and this alone is a big victory for future elections. Ultimately, success is that the Muslim vote acts as one and emphatically supports those who strongly support Palestine.
Our philosophy is really simple: if none of the candidates is pro-Palestine and calling for an unconditional ceasefire, then we do have alternatives. Contact us for training.
